Held Air
A studio exercise that turned into an edition. Six metres of oyster silk, thrown by hand, photographed until something held still enough to print.

The exercise
We had a spare day and a roll of silk left over from another shoot. The question was whether fabric in freefall could be made to read as solid — as sculpture rather than accident.
What we did
Around four hundred throws over two days. One hard light, a black background, and a shutter fast enough to freeze the leading edge while the trailing edge smears.
The result
Nine frames survived the edit. Printed as an edition of twelve, sold out through a gallery in Copenhagen.
