About
A four-person studio with its own darkroom

Ines Halvard · Founder
Sable started in 2014 above a framing shop, with one camera and a borrowed enlarger. The brief has not really changed since: photograph things so they look like themselves, and finish the work ourselves rather than hand it to a lab.
We shoot mostly on film — not for the look, but because it forces a shot list and a decision at the moment of exposure. Everything is developed, scanned and graded in the building, which is why the frame you approve is the frame that ships.
We take on around twenty projects a year. That is a deliberate ceiling: the studio is four people, and the work is better when nobody is running two shoots at once.

What we take on
Campaign
Full production from treatment to delivery — casting, location, crew, retouch. Usually two to six shoot days.
Product & still life
Studio work with our own set build. Single hero stills through to full range shoots of two hundred plus.
Interiors & architecture
Buildings photographed on their own light, across a full day where the brief allows it.
Print & editions
In-house scanning, grading and print production. We finish everything we shoot.
